this weekend has been a pretty decent one for me, i have to say.
my brother went away (he left sat.) to NC for 2.5 weeks to train foreign troops, so i don't have to deal with him for awhile. :)
friday nite i hung out with kenny at my house. we watched Dead Alive, this slapstick horror movie done by Peter Jackson yrs ago....it is so disgustingly gory and funny....i loved it
saturday morning kenny and i went to the chiller theatre convention in the meadowlands, it kinda blew.
not too many vendors, no decent Q&A's. ex-peter brady & americas next top idiot were there.
so were some dumb wrestlers.
but i did find a nosferatu shirt, & the silent nosferatu movie on DVD, circa 1922. so amazing.
[i'm definitely watching that later]
we had lunch at johnny rocket's, it was delish. i <3 chocolate malts
at the convention kenny got Battle Royale, so we watched that last nite
i can't even begin to list all the things i loved about it
that movie immediately goes into my list of top 10 favorite movies. without a doubt

but anyway

first day of class is tomorrow :( if i don't sound thrilled, that's cos i'm not.
but i guess it would be healthy to do something other than inhabit the couch.
i have to get things done today. i have to do laundry, clean, move stuff around,
dye my hair, etc.etc.

better get moving.

p.s. this is my 2nd official week of living the non-smoker life. it's fabulous

today wasn't so bad. i went to my physical therapy at 1:00 and my doctor told me how to paint my bathroom using metallics. so bitchin'. if only i had the money to do it.

after that i came home, ate a salad, watched my soap, and worked out for two hours...my abs are fuckin killing me & even though i'm working out a lot and watching what i eat, i still feel like a fat bloated piece of shit. life's not fair.

anyway. after i did all that, i took a shower and talked to kenny. i asked him if he wanted to get coffee with me but he didn't feel good so i just hung out at his house for awhile. it was nice :)i went home around 9:00. he let me and my brother borrow the wedding crashers DVD so i watched that with paul and watched half of "The Wraith" again (fabulous 80s movie, if anyone's into revenge, hot rod cars, ghosts, and explosions). rachel came over to hang out with paul so i figured i'd retire to the upstairs of the house.

i don't have physical therapy tomorrow so i'm going to use the extra time to get some shit done. my room is a fucken mess again. i don't know how i manage to clean so well, and trash it all in two weeks. i guess i've had a lot of other shit on my mind and didn't care all that much.

i might go play pool with shannon, jaime, and renee tomorrow nite. not sure though. i have so much laundry and stuff to do, and i'm going into NYC with my dad on friday for some shopping. plus we're meeting my mom for lunch (she works in NYC now) and uncle sal will be there too. good times. then that night kenny and i are celebrating friday the 13th.... by watching friday the 13th movies. appropriate, yes?

hmm. well, it's been a crazy couple of weeks but i'm doing pretty good, i think. my nerves are almost back to normal, i'm able to eat again. just working on the sleep part. i think i need that Lunesta shit i keep seeing commercials for. it's such a pretty advertisement. the lady can't sleep, so she takes Lunesta pills and a pretty green CG butterfly sweeps down on her and automatically she's passed out. i'll bet it's a pretty fuckin heavy dosage if you're seeing butterflies and passing out like that.

that's enough of a rant for tonight. off to watch sex & the city and try to sleep. without the pretty fucking butterfly.

jesus. so much has happened since i last updated this thing.

last week i was very fuckin depressed. a lot of shit was going down & i ended up breaking up with kenny. the next four days after that was an emotional roller coaster for me...i lost a disgusting amount of weight because i was too upset to eat, i couldn't sleep all that much, and i drank a bit too much friday night at shannons.

on saturday night though, i went to kenny's and waited for him to get home and we talked things out. i realize how much i really need him in my life, how much i honest to god love him, and we got back together. i really couldn't be happier about it. i don't want to know what my life would be like without him. we might have our problems, but i refuse to give up on us. he means the world to me and i won't give that up.

i'm still trying to get my body back to normal. it's sad to say, but i'm glad i lost 20 lbs because that has been my goal for the past year. i just didn't think i'd do it in two weeks. i'm trying to keep the weight off and possibly lose more, but the healthy way. i'm trying to eat right again (even though my nerves haven't returned to normal) and i'm working out a lot.

i've also decided to quit smoking cigarettes. i notice when i work out that i get out of breath very easily and i don't feel healthy anymore. my lungs are slowly rotting and i don't want to die of cancer someday. i'm honestly terrified that if i don't quit smoking now, i never will. so kenny is going to help me, since he was so successful in quitting himself. he's going to take me to a tobacco clinic in new brunswick soon so i can get free nicotine patches and nicotine gum. i'm going to fucking quit. i'm determined.

i guess you could say i'm trying to change my life around for the better now. losing weight and quitting smoking will make me a lot happier. being back with kenny has made me feel so much better; it's time to really improve my every day life.

so i haven't really written in this thing for awhile.... christmas weekend was absolutely awesome, i hung out with shan & martin friday night and exchanged presents...she gave me a cute mousepad and a heating pad/massager thing which rules....christmas eve kenny came over & we exchanged....he got me so many wonderful things, he is so good to me. the biggest thing he got me is a sewing machine which is so awesome, cos now i can get more serious about making my stuff!!! my parents got me some awesome stuff too.
christmas night i went over kenny's and met his extended family for the first time, it was a little crazy and hectic but fun nonetheless. his mom got me a really cute purse and some accessories for the sewing machine. why is everyone so good to me???

anyway, i'm in a really cheerful mood because tomorrow (well, technically TODAY) is my one year anniversary with kenny.... he took the day off work so we could spend the day together. we were originally thinking about going into the city for the day but decided it would be a little too much for my knee to handle, and a lot of running around for both of us.... so instead we're going to play it by ear, see Wolf Creek (YESS) and go out to eat somewhere. it will just be nice to spend the day together.

i'm really tired but can't seem to fall asleep yet, so i stole this survey from dana and hopefully it will help me pass out a little sooner.

i have my vietnam presentation tomorrow, in which i will discuss vietnamese literature. exciting stuff. i wrote an outline and stuff, i hope it works. i tend to get nervous and talk fast, and i have to talk for 15 minutes :-O later on in the day i'm going to grab a bite to eat with rob & exchange christmas presents with him, cos i won't see him next week.

sigh, i really have to finish christmas shopping this week. all this studying is eating up my free time. i think i'm going to go friday. i haven't even finished shopping for kenny! :( i'll take care of it though.
i also need to set up appointments with my physical therapist. man. i can't believe i have to do physical therapy again.

i went to the orthopedic surgeon tonight, and he told me i have "patello feminal syndrome" , which is supposedly common amongst young GIRLS. (YES LADIES, ANOTHER THING WE CAN SUFFER THROUGH TOGETHER.) it's because the way we walk can set off the alignment of the knee, causing popping noises and swelling. doesn't that sound like fun?

all sarcasm aside, i have to go to physical therapy to fix it. he says physical therapy usually cures the symptoms. i hope he's right.

today is ok so far. i woke up and watched part of the tony danza show, which i love. i decided against going to my vietnam class because i can stand to miss one, and my knee really hurts today. i have an appointment with a specialist tonight around 6 so i will hopefully get something figured out when i go there.

i have my LAST long wednesday tomorrow... 9-11:50 psych class, 1:30-2:50 speech, and from 3-4:20 i have my education final exam. then the rest of everything will be cake....i hope.... my last final is on the 22nd.

so, today i'm just going to do massive amounts of studying & hopefully my doctor will tell me what's wrong with my knee.

my weekend has been bittersweet, i suppose. i've been a little stressed out because i have so much to get done for school, PLUS finish making all my friends' christmas presents.... it's been unreal. and i feel so awful for kenny. his aunt is really sick and his family is very worried. i'm not a religious person at all, but i've been praying for her. i really hope she is okay.

friday night i ended up going out for coffee with rob. we didn't stay long because we were both rediculously tired from our days. i went home and watched some movies i rented from blockbuster...which consisted of that new Jenny Mcarthy movie (which was funny but a bit trashy if i may say so) and My Date With Drew, which was just this documentary about this dude who tried to get a date with Drew Barrymore. that was entertaining, cos i've always loved drew.

saturday i worked on christmas presents some more, and relaxed a bit...i ended up hanging out with kenny and watching Desperate Housewives (i rented the first DVD of it to try it out), which apparently is the coolest show ever. i went back and rented the next 4 episodes today. i'm hooked, it's pathetic. ken also helped my mom with her Ebay account cos we have no idea what to do on there, which was really cool of him. he's a doll.

today i went shopping with my mom...i had to help her pick out some new outfits for hew new job, and she treated me to some cute sweaters and new loungeypants and stuff. as girly as this sounds, sometimes you just need to fuckin shop.

well tonight i'm going to watch some more Desperate Housewives & work on my crafts. i'm fuckin starving, i hope i eat soon.

today has been all right thus far. i had to go to school early to meet with my group from vietnam class to discuss what we would talk about concerning the movie we all had to watch, and we didn't even end up discussing it in class because my professor gave us a quiz. good thing i read the chapter.

after class i met with jerrelima, a girl in my vietnam class. we are working on the same book report so my professor is letting us do it together. we figured everything out and ate lunch together. she's really nice, she's an "off the boat" italian girl and her accent is so cute. she got married and came to the states only 5 years ago. we got to talking about politics; it's interesting to talk to someone from another country about the USA, she has a unique perspective on things because of that.

i came home and wrote a 4 page paper for my education class. christ, i'm so glad school is almost over. i don't mind doing the work but i really need a break from it soon. in the next two weeks, i have finals & then i'll be done. hoorah.

tonite i'm going to dedicate at least 2 hours to myself, since my homework is done and all. i'm going to work on some projects i've been painting, then take a shower & watch my fucking soap opera. yes, my soap opera. don't even start.

i'm in a writing mood, so here we go.

today was okay. i went to my speech class and did my final speech on Horror, which was cool. i got a B+ on it and i apparently underestimated how many people in my class like horror movies. the Q&A part of it was fun. in education class we're watching the film "Dangerous Minds" with michelle pfiefer, which actually isn't that bad. i never got around to seeing that one. she reminds me of someone i know, i think. whatever.

it's my dad's birthday today, he's 51. christ, that makes him sound really old. but to me he's like, 30. i don't know, i guess it just saddens me to see my family get older. is that weird?

my fingers are super cold, which makes it hurt to type. and unfortunately i have to go type a paper now. so this entry is officially over.

i've been rather busy the past couple of days, i haven't had time to update this thing.

friday was a very nice day. early in the afternoon i went over to nicole's and hung out with her for a couple hours. we had tea & i helped her pick candlewax out of her carpet, haha. she also taught me a little of how to play the accordion, which fucking rules.

later that day, i went out to dinner with lisa, dana, dana's boyfriend, lisa's friend sean, and their friend jill. it was really nice. we had to wait a little bit but we finally got a table. they are all such chill people, i had a lot of fun. when i got home that night i watched the Addams family on VHS (haha kenny gave me a whole bunch of older movies on VHS cos he doesn't like VCRs anymore). so that was a pleasant evening.

saturday during the day, i worked on my dad's birthday present (i made him a bob dylan box to keep his stuff in) and took a shower. later on, me and kenny went christmas shopping and i got some good stuff for my friends ;-) he took me out to eat at the olive garden, it was really nice. i love that restaurant and the food is amazing. later on we found some guy's wallet in the street and long story short, ended up driving it to his job (he had a Denny's employee card in there haha).we also notified the security at east brunswick square mall that some guy's trunk was popped open, and they fixed the situation. those were our good deeds! i hope we get good karma out of that.

today i've just been relaxing and doing my homework for tomorrow. i'm doing a speech tomorrow on horror so i've been making notecards and finessing my powerpoint presentation. i'm not going out to family guy night at martin's because my knee is killing me and i need to rest it. my parents put up the christmas tree, it's really starting to feel like the holidays, especially with the snow outside and the ice on my car!

well anyway. time to go back to work on my school stuff.
